LINVILLE GOODMAN of Green Forest, Arkansas was born on June 2, 1942 to Virgie Madge Fletcher. Mr. Goodman departed this life January 24, 2008 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 65.


Linville served his country in the United States National Guard. He was of the Baptist faith.


Mr. Goodman is survived by two sons, Michael Goodman and wife Angel and Tim Goodman and wife Robyn both of Green Forest, Arkansas and two daughters Connie and husband Lyle Howarth of Springdale, Arkansas and Victoria and husband Steven Tucker of Harrison, Arkansas; one sister, Sharon White of Timbo, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.


On July 27, 1961, Linville was united in marriage with Patsy Ruth Louise Treat who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his mother.


Funeral services will be held at the Nelson Green Forest Chapel in Green Forest on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Kenny Asbury officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 5 to 8 PM at the Nelson Green Forest Chapel. Interment to follow in the Farewell Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Grandma and Grandpa Treat came to visit our home in the early 1980s. We lived at that time in Green Forest.

Pat and Linville and their kids also lived in Green Forest. One evening while Grandma and Grandpa were visiting, Pat's family came over to our house. We all had a good time during this visit.

WILLIAM BENNY JOE TREAT

William Benny Joe Treat, 63, of Farmington died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at his home.

He was born Feb. 10, 1941, in Big Flat, Ark., to Sherman and Ruth Lawrence Treat.

He worked at Standard Register for 25 years as a collator. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Treat; a brother, Clyde Treat; and a greatniece, Gabrielle Treat.

Survivors include a son, Billy and his wife, Sarah Treat of Fayetteville; two daughters, Kimberly Treat of the home and Cynthia Burnett and her husband, John of Springdale; father, Sherman and his wife, Opal Treat of Cave Springs; a brother, Leon and his wife Gerene Treat of Gravette; three sisters, Patsy Goodman and her husband, Lin of Green Forest, Johnnie Woods and her husband, Roy of Springdale and Carolyn Thompson and her husband, James of Fayetteville; a sister-in-law, Maxine Treat of Springdale; seven grandchildren, Chelsey, Alex, Jeffery, Ashley, Shelby Treat and Molly and Trey Burnett; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. James Goff officiating. Burial will be in Burks Shed Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Fayetteville.
