This cannot be the same as my Lewis Thompson because Lewis and Margaret Thompson are listed on the 1850 census in North Carolina while my Lewis Thompson is listed in Tennessee with his wife Elizabeth. Therefore, they cannot be the same Lewis.

Additional evidence includes that North Carolina records indicate that the other Lewis Thompson and his wife Margaret were very wealthy and owned many slaves while my Lewis owns no slaves and lives a simple farmer's life.
