John Samuel Stansell, 72, of 915 Washington, Ontario, Calif., formerly of Huntsville, died May 12 at the San Ontario Community Hospital. He was a retired plumber's helper, attended the Pentecostal Church of God in Ontario and had been a resident of Ontario for 21 years.

Survivors include his widow Mrs. Artie M. Stansell of the home; one son, Grady Stansell of Ontario; two daughters, Mrs. Cubs Neville of Ontario and Mrs. Alba Frakes of Hiperia, Calif.; two brothers, Jess of Caldwell, Idaho and Douglas of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mrs. Venna Thompson of Huntsville and Mrs. Alice Smith of Berryville; ten great grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held May 14 in Ontario.

Susan Stansell, age 65 years, died Sept. 2 at the home of Henry Steele near Wharton. Interment was made in the Upper Camp Ground cemetery, Rev. C.H. Steele and Rev. Amos Howard conducting the funeral service. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Bruce Brashears Undertaking Co.

and lifelong resident of Madison county. She was married to Oliver Stansell Aug. 8, 1897. Nine children were born to them. Two daughters and one son preceded her in death. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Alice Smith and Mrs. Venna Thompson of Metalton and Esther Stansell of the home, and by three sons, Sam and Jess of Marble and Douglas of Cowley, Wyo., also by 26 grandchildren, one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Ida Hall of California, S. T. King of Lequire, Okla., and Ben King of Texas. She had been a faithful Christian since early in life.
