Heart Attack Fatal to William Armes, Kingston Farmer

William I. Armes, 72, died Saturday afternoon, April 26, after having suffered a heart attack on the previous Monday. Mr. Armes was doing his evening chores when he suffered the attack from whick he did not recover.

Mr. Armes was a life-time resident of Kingston having been born there July 20, 1879 the son of James N. and Ruth Brown Armes. He married in life Miss Dusky Kesner. The deceased was not a member of any church but was Christian and had lived a devoted Christian life for many years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Ernest, of Springdale and four daughters, Effie and Merle of the home, and Elma Stout of Springdale and Delma Clark of Oak Grove, Mo., and six grandchildren, all of whom were able to attend the funeral except for one, Kenneth, who is in the service in California, and one brother Joel Armes of Springdale.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 o'clock at the Baptist church at Kingston by Reverends Vivan Rhodes and Den Montgomery. Interment was in the Kingston cemetery under the direction of the Brashears Funeral home.

Pallbearers were Lloyd Kesner, Fred Smelley, Hugh White, Lorin Smelley, Noel Armes, and Clebert Armes.

Mary Duskey Armes, 83, passed away at her home on Route 2, Springdale November 17. She was born August 20, 1884 in Madison County the daughter of James and Henrietta Phillips Kesner.

Survivors include a son, Ernest Armes of Springdale; four daughters, Mrs. Delma Clark, Mrs. Elma Stout, Miss Effie Armes and Miss Merle Armes, all of Springdale; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Services were held November 18 at the Kingston cemetery. Rev. Cecil Garrison and Rev. Vivan Rhodes officiated.

Pallbearers were Noel Armes, Hugh White, Charles Kesner, Fred Smelley, Loren Smelley and Lloyd Kesner.

Funeral services were held Saturday in the Kingston Community Church for Mrs. Mary LaDuskey Kesner Armes, 83, who died Nov. 17 at her home in Springdale. Rev. Cecil Garrison and Rev. Vivan Rhodes officiated. Burial in the Kingston cemetery was under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 20, 1884 and was married in 1902 to the late William Isaac Armes.

Survivors include one son, Ernest Armes of Springdale; four daughters, Effie and Merle Armes of the home, Mrs. Elma Stout and Mrs. Delma Clark both of Springdale; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Her husband Clifford Stout died on 20 December 1984 at Springdale, Washington, Arkansas.
